2018 Reserve Chardonnay

Long Shadows Vintners winemaker, Gilles Nicault, and founder, Allen Shoup, have honed in on the best the Columbia Valley has to offer with a Chardonnay that is truly representative of the region.
More than 80% of the Chardonnay was sourced from the Boushey Vineyard in the Yakima Valley, a cooler AVA that provides bright acidity. The remaining Chardonnay came from French Creek Vineyard, providing texture and richness. Lively yet graceful, this well-balanced wine was aged for nine months in 60% in French concrete eggs, which contributes to its freshness and minerality. A broad mid-palate and depth in the finish can be attributed to the 40% that was aged in French oak barrels (20% new, 20% neutral).
